Hot Toys Terminator (aka time for a change of underwear)

So I ordered this at the beginning of the week, expecting it to show up today (Friday). The mail comes and…no package. At about 3:00 my sister comes home with a package in her hand saying “don’t you ever open the door?”. Stupid mailman can’t knock! Anyways, after I literally shat my pants (that’s right shat) I opened the package and whipped it out (the figure that is, I wasn’t that excited…yet). What follows is what I found absolutely necessary, an insane amount of pictures, and even they don’t do the figure justice, but at least I tried. Here goes.

That is the slipcase beside the inner package. The slipcase is highly shiny and metallic (odd for a package to be metallic, but that seems to be Hot Toys signature, and god bless them because it REALLY stands out among 12’ packaging). The inner package is a matte finish, very slick, very beautiful, and it just screams high end in contrast to the borderline cheesy slipcase.

After opening the matte box flap, there is a window to the figure underneath. Here we have the delicious inner centre of the M&M that is this figure. Everything fits snugly, the plastic is very nicely conformed to the accessories. The most fragile accessory (the sunglasses) are nicely placed so they will avoid damage.

The accessories, by god, the accessories. Simply amazing. The detail, the FUNCTIONALITY! I’ll go piece by piece. The handgun, the scope is nicely attached, and the clip comes out. THE CLIP COMES OUT!

The uzi has a collapsible stock, and a removable (with some effort, as with all the straps on the guns) strap.

The shotgun has a collapsible stock as well, and working pump.

I removed the strap on it, and put it on the minigun. The minigun itself deserves most of the money I paid for this figure.

The minigun has so much detail, not to mention 2 removable bullet belts (the only thing that could make the bullet belts better is if they were actually linked bullets rather than sculpted plastic belts, now that would cause my head to explode!).

The bullets, uzi, handgun all fit particularly well into the gym bag (stuffed with removable foam to keep its shape) and that’s a plus for me because anytime I need an accessory, I don’t have to dig around in the package, and the package can go safely into storage. Oh, and the gym bag is beautiful to display, what with the insanity of working zippers (realistic scaled zippers!). Speaking of zippers, the jacket sleeve zippers are so unnecessary that I can’t help but feel Im getting something extra out of my money. Have a look:

You may have noticed in the accessory pictures, that the eyes looked weird. Don’t worry, its ok to freak out because not only your mind, but my mind exploded as soon as I turned on the light up eyes!!!

I feel sorry for anyone who is not on the ground foaming at the mouth from the sheer amount of awesome I’ve already showed you, but for those who have made it this far and haven’t hit climax, I will leave you with shameless self-masturbatory pictures that have no purpose but to show off my new amazing (and expensive, but worth it) figure.
